Josiah Royce Biyografi

Kaliforniya üniversitesinde, sonra Leipzig’de ve Göttingen’de, daha sonra, W. James ve C. Pierce ile tanıştığı Johns Hopkins üniversitesinde okudu.

1885-1914 Arasında Harvard’da profesörlük yaptı ve amerikan düşüncesini derinden etkiledi. İdealist felsefesi Hegel’e dayanır.
